I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (Saint Paul, MN) in Mar 2012
Interview
I went to the summer job fair and talked with the recruiter at the booth, she asked me to interview with her at Career Services a couple days later. That was about 30 minutes long. First she asked questions about me, "tell me about yourself..." then she asked "tell me about a time when..." She was incredibly nice and professional. They want you to answer with a description of the situation, what you did in the situation, and results.
Then I got a call about a week later to meet with the STL & DTL. Before that, they sent me an email to complete an assessment. The assessment is hard, it is a lot of math questions.
After, I interviewed first with the STL, she asked basically the same questions and was also super nice. Then right after I interviewed with the DTL, he asked me similar questions but a little more in-depth and asked more questions about myself and why I would want to work for Target. He was also nice and professional.
Next, I have a final interview over the phone with the Group AP Director. I have not had this interview yet, but I hope it goes well.
The interview process is not easy, but if you are well prepared with narratives and study this website it is not too bad! All the interviewers are very nice and you can use a lot of the same stories or situations when answering their questions.
Got the interview from a career fair. Met with one person who handled hiring and had a great conversation and had one other phone interview. Asked me relevant questions and I was excited about the role

Interview
It was a two step interview process. Personable and you are able to interview with not only your direct managers but theirs as well. Provides transparency into your new team. My interview was virtual because I was moving to the area, but I'm sure they do in person for local folks.
