I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Target (Bengaluru) in Jun 2024
Interview
I got a call from recruiter that they would like to interview me for senior engineer role. I said ok. They scheduled a interview. Recruiter said that it's going to be a coding round. I prepared for coding interview. But unfortunately the interview was completely theoretical. No coding. All technical questions on microservice architecture and database.

Interview
I applied online for a position of Senior engineer, and after few days of applying I got a call from HR. Interview got scheduled and below is my experience in each round: 1. In first round of interview I was asked very basic question on Spring boot, Java 8 features, and few questions on Linked list, Concurrent hashmap, Treeset etc. The interview was conducted by a Senior software engineer from some other team at Target 2. After clearing first round, I was asked to go for another technical interview by a Tech lead. In the second round of interview I was asked question specific to Spring boot, Microservices basics, and questions on designing a system that is read heavy. I was able to answer most of these except but there were so many syntactical questions that I couldn't answer exactly to the point. After the second round, I never got a call from HR even after sending a follow up mail twice. I had never expected this from such a reputed organisation.
