I applied online. I interviewed at TaxAct (Boston, MA) in Jan 2026
Interview
A few tax questions and that was really it. The pay offer was decent and was $30/hr. I declined the offer of employment because I could not meet the hours.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
It was a remote job and they asked if I could work at least 20 hours a week during the season.
I completed two technical interview rounds that focused on data analysis. In each round, I was provided with a dataset and tasked with performing exploratory analysis, identifying trends or anomalies, and drawing actionable insights from the information. I was also expected to justify my analytical approach and communicate my findings in a clear and structured manner.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at TaxAct in Oct 2025
Interview
The recruiter was very prompt, professional, and transparent throughout the process. Communication was clear, updates were timely, and expectations were set upfront. I really appreciated the respectful and organized approach—it made the interview process smooth, efficient, and genuinely positive from start to finish.
