I see from a previous review that I am the second candidate to report being ghosted by Tea Company after completing a requested test project. I find this disappointing, but it also confirms that this lack of respect seems to be typical of how they treat potential employees.
The 1st step in the interview process was not a phone call, but an email telling me that top candidates were being asked to do a short "2 day" project. Afterwards I could then expect them to schedule a time to discuss my project, past experiences and the role.
I worked hard on the project, submitted it and then heard nothing. A week went by and I emailed again to make sure they had indeed received my files. Again, no email response.
Yes, we all get busy. However in the very least, a generic "thanks, but no thanks" is a common professional courtesy.
