Interview process was what I expected from a typical tech start-up. Application process included several cognitive tests, phone interview with HR, and hiring manager and in-person interview with hiring manager and team members. Was eventually offered the position, but at a much lower salary than market value and at a lower salary than I indicated as my current rate in my application. Countered the initial offered but was told the offered salary was a firm cap. In the end, I was left wondering why they would push me along in the interview process if you knew my current salary was above your salary cap?
