Zero Professionalism! Worst interview experience. I received a call from a consultancy for Tech Mahindra's direct payroll. Consultant took my details and created a profile and asked me to wait for an email interview invitation. I received an MS Teams invitation from Tech M folks after 2 days. I joined the call and there were 4-5 people in the call and were waiting for others. Few more joined and few more left intermittently. Only one person told me Hi and he was interacting with me saying let's wait for a couple of minutes and was discussing with his team mates enquiring about others who were supposed to join.
I guess he should be a Lead/Managerial level person. I waited patiently. There was no introduction from anyone. I was asked to brief about myself. I talked about my then employer and the kind of work we do. Seemed like no one even listened to what I was saying Lol. Then the Manager kind of person asked me if I was willing to work on BackEnd or FrontEnd. I was like "I thought I was here for a full stack Dev" and I told them I'm inclined towards front end development but doesn't mean I'm not willing to work on Backend, at the end of the day all are JS frameworks so anything should be fine for me. He said "ok so let's go with Frontend, meanwhile someone started to ask question and I had to figure out who was speaking and addressed them and started to answer. He was not professional enough to ask questions and was having a superior feel plus mocking at the answers of mine. I remained to be polite and professional. Next someone else started to bombard with other set of questions. As time passed on, it was random and everyone started to ask their own questions and I had to keep a tab on Teams screen just to know who is asking 😂 After 30 mins of struggle, Manager intervened and started asking all non sense questions for which I answered straight to his face. Bunch of little experienced people with an egoistic Manager(all from same south Indian state)
