I was called by a recruiter, and based on my experience of more than 8.5 years, asked me to interview for Staff Engineer Role, I agreed to same and started the process
During my first interview, I came to know that I am being interviewed for Senior Software Engineer, I checked the same with the recruiter, he said that it is for Staff engineer only, and there could be some confusion which will be rectified
Next I got a call from the HR of the company saying that, its a flat structure and designation won't create a difference monetarily and role wise, I agreed to the same and continued the process to complete the 2nd technical interview.
In the next interview I got a complete differnent picture, the interviewer was adament that I am not fit to work as a SSE with this experience and my current Job role, he gave me JS questions and was trying to prove me wrong at every step, once I have to execute the code, just to prove that this is correct code, sad experience.

I had only 2 rounds. DSA and LLD. After LLD, there is a HLD round. LLD round was bit unconventional and interviewer wanted specific answer. DSA was okay, lletcode medium level.

Was polite and straight with the expectation and communication
1st Round - Problem Solving and Javascript
Had fun discussing problems and technical details around day to day work with the interviewer.
2nd Round - LLD
Was supposed to be a machine coding round
Interviewer decided otherwise and asked to write JSON API response for Scorecard (I chose Cricket) from memory
Wrote completely extensible types using TypeScript and shared sample JSON with two apis 1) Match Detail 2) Scorecard
I think interviewer was a Backend engineer and was nit picking on completeness of data, rather than extensibility per requirements / UI view.
It's alright, Frontend engineers should work with APIs responses and discussing contracts but making hiring decision solely based on it and ignoring actual skills and experience says alot about company culture.
If you are from a product based company, stay away from Tekion.
