I applied online. I interviewed at Telespazio Germany
Interview
My interview process with Telespazio Germany lasted around three months, and it was honestly one of the worst interview experiences I have had. After the first contact, I waited almost one and a half months just to receive the coding exercise. During this time there were long periods of complete silence, sometimes around ten days with no update at all. The uncertainty and lack of communication made the process quite frustrating from the beginning.
When the coding exercise finally arrived, I was surprised by its content. The position was for a Working Student Software Development and Validation, but the exercise included an architectural design question and a code review task. It felt quite demanding for a working student role, but I still spent many hours completing it and submitted my solution. However, during the interview they told me they had not even opened or reviewed my coding exercise. That was very disappointing after the effort I had put in. Despite that, I tried to do my best in the interview. I even heard comments like “excellent question” and “this is what I want to hear,” so I left the meeting thinking it had gone well and waited hopefully for the result. Then two weeks passed in complete silence.
After those two weeks I emailed the HR contact to ask about the result, but I received no reply. One week later I sent another message and again there was no response. Finally I decided to write directly to the Head of the department who interviewed me, and the next day I finally received the rejection email. In total I spent about three months in this process, investing many hours in preparation and in the coding exercise. In the end the exercise was not even reviewed and I could not get a simple response for weeks. For me this shows a serious lack of respect for candidates’ time and effort.

Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Telespazio Germany (Darmstadt) in Sept 2019
Interview
I was asked some easy technical questions about Java (although I applied for a C++ position). Then some general questions about problem solving skills and strategies followed. The overall interview took less than half an hour.
