I followed up several times over several weeks with no response. Several months later, I finally received a brief message that they hired someone else. The lack of basic communication was disappointing. If you’re going to ask candidates to prioritize your process and work around your timeline, the minimum courtesy is a timely update when you’re no longer moving forward. A simple rejection email takes 30 seconds. Radio silence for months shows a fundamental lack of respect for candidates’ time. Advice for candidates: Protect your time. Don’t rearrange your schedule or deprioritize other opportunities based on their stated urgency. Continue pursuing all options until you have an offer in hand.
