Their HR person reached out to me for a 30-minute screening video call, and I was moved forward through the next round. The next round was a "test assignment" they wanted me to work on for 4 hours without compensation. RED FLAG: You should never provide free time during the interview process, at least so early in the interview process. I invested an hour as a compromise, and as expected, they viewed my test and sent me a rejection email with no feedback regarding my assignment. I assume they stole my idea or poor culture in general. If a company wants you to invest 4 hours on a mock assignment for free but don't have time to provide feedback reflects poorly on the company.
