I applied 2 weeks before a university event. Once they came down to the campus on a Wednesday, I explained my interests and experiences and they asked me if I could come back the same day for a 1-1 interview. (I was the last person they interviewed that day because I worked full-time) I heard back on Friday of the same week, and scheduled a second interview over the phone with 3 other members that consisted of 2 senior staff and 1 Analyst. I heard back 8 days later with a phone call followed by an email with a job offer. Oddly enough, non of the questions were technical. I think they understood my very technical background enough that they were curious how I interact with problems involving teamwork. Of course, I answered their questions involving technical solutions, but other than that, they didn't dig too much into my technical knowledge.
