      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2010

      Interview

I was initially contacted by the hiring manager in regard to the resume that I had submitted online. The initial phone interview went well, and the hiring manager agreed to fly me to Dallas for an on-site interview. The company provided air transportation, hotel, rental car, and a traveler's check for incidentals. On the day of the interview, I met with hiring manager, who has the title "Manufacturing Superintendent." He then took me into a conference room where I had an interview with him and four other managers. The interview questions were primarily based on management style, team work, and knowledge of wafer-fab operations. The interview lasted about two hours. When it was completed, I met with the factory's human resources manager for a second interview. I was given a tour of the factory and provided lunch. After having lunch with the hiring manager, I was released and told a decision would be made that week. I am still waiting to hear the decision.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2012

      Interview

Was called in for an interview for Probe Supervisor and met with the Probe Lead Supervisor on a Friday morning where he bought breakfast for the two of us and we talked about my work experience. I was informed there that the position was for a compressed overnight shift and that I would also be interviewing for a supervisor position in another department within the factory. I met with the Probe Lead Supervisor, Probe superintendent, the Manufacturing superintendents (3), & the Manufacturing manager. First met with probe manager and had a casual conversation about my experience and then met his superintendent which was another casual conversation about hobbies and experiences. After that I met with the manufacturing team where I met the three manufacturing superintendents and their manager in a conference room and spoke about my experience and was asked an array of questions such as what was my most interesting experience working in hotels. I was taken on a window tour of the factory by one of the superintendents. I then met up with the Probe superintendent and he accompanied me outside. Total time of Interview was 4 hours.
