I applied online and was called for a on-campus interview with the recruiting team. I was interviewed by three (3) recruiters, asked the common behavioral questions (describe a situation when...), a couple of very basic technical questions about op amps and more questions about my resume. The next day, I received an email notifying me that I passed to the second round of the recruiting process, an interview using their HireView system. This was very much like the first one, a combination of behavioral and basic technical questions. Again, was notified the next day that I passed the interview and was scheduled for a day visit and a final-round set of interviews.
I flew to Dallas. TI covered everything, flight, car-rental, hotel and even included a prepaid AMEX to cover miscellaneous expenses. The night I arrived, TI arranged a dinner with some Applications Engineers in order for us to meet them and ask any questions. It gives you the opportunity to get to know them in a more relaxed environment and ask questions about the job or city that you wouldn't normally ask a recruiter. The next day, the day visit consisted of a tour, an informal presentation about the company, lunch and two interviews, where you have to give a 10 minute presentation about a project you have worked on. Again, a couple of behavioral questions and some technical ones based on your presentation. The recruiters want to see that you are someone that know your technical stuff, but also that people can relate to you. I received an offer the next day.
Overall, the process was very relaxed and friendly. The whole process took like three weeks, from my on-campus interview to receiving a full-time offer.
