This was a lackluster interview. I had the sense pretty immediately that my interviewer wasn't invested in the discussion and that I probably wasn't getting the job. The weather was bad that day which may have impacted his mood, but the man just seemed extremely disinterested from the point of meeting me. Many of the other staff members I interacted with however were very upbeat and friendly.
The interview itself was not complicated. This was an entry-level position. There were about 8 questions on a fill-in-the-blank sheet that the interviewer read from verbatim. In the middle, he broke to talk about the hotel, values, etc. He also offered the opportunity to ask questions in the middle. After the interview was over, the man went to get someone from HR because they "like to debrief the paper." After waiting a few minutes, another staff member came out and asked if I had any questions. She said that they "just like to say hi after the interview" and then explained the remainder of the process. She said that they would regroup, then if contacted there would be another interview with HR, another regroup, and then an offer is made.
I was contacted with a scripted rejection email 3 days later.
