I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Buckle (Raleigh, NC) in Jul 2010
Interview
I always shop at Buckle and have dropped alot of money on jeans there. The sales associate that was helping me complimented me on how well the MissMe jeans fit me and asked if I would be interested in working there. She said that she really liked my personality and that I had a great eye for style. I told her I would be interested in PT. Went online filled application and took the assesment test.
Got a call the next day. Went in for the interview... I was dressed in Buckle attire, $100 pair of MissMe jeans I purchased the day before. The manager that was interviewing me was in her early 20's and the interview was very informal. I hardly could hear a word she was saying because of the music being so loud. We were stading in the back left corner up against a rack of clothing. From the very moment she saw me I knew that I wasnt the type she was looking for. I was overqualified and I'm sure my age (38) had something to do with it. They are looking for college kids.
You would think that they would prefer someone who will show up on time, doesnt call out for work on the weekends, great personality and knows updated styles and fashion.
By the way, I never did receive a email from them.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They were no difficult questions.
How would your previous co-workers describe you?
Super quick and easy. The woman who interviews me was very kind and understanding to it being my first retail job. I was offered a job on the spot and was able to ask any lingering questions I had about the role and profession.

Question 1
How well do you do interacting with people you do not know?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Buckle (Little Rock, AR) in Mar 2026
Interview
Very simple. No behaviour questions. It was basically all about me. We talked about hobbies, availability, college plans. It was like a fun conversation and not a hard, daunting, scary interview.

Interview
They bring you in to ask basic interview questions. Make sure you completely dress the part. I was told before the interview by an associate that I should wear clothes they sell there. She didn't go into detail but I take that as they won't hire you if you don't.
