I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The CE Shop (Denver, CO) in Mar 2021
Interview
The interview process consisted of an initial HR phone screening, then I had a video interview with the Art Director, followed by a third interview with the Head of Marketing, and finally a fourth and final interview that included the Art Director, Head of Marketing, and a Senior Graphic Designer. Between the third and fourth interviews, I was asked to design assets as a way for them to gauge my understanding of the company's visual identity and my design abilities. The final files were discussed in the last meeting.

Question 1
How do you manage your time when you have several tasks that are due?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at The CE Shop (Greenwood Village, CO) in Jan 2019
Interview
The interview process for The CE Shop was very simple and easy to understand, initial application, google hangout first interview, practical project, in person panel review and then offer. It was super easy and straight forward and I was happy to know that I would hear from them no matter the outcome of my interview.
The initial phone interview was with a member of the HR team, she asked some basic screening questions regarding my work experience, skillset and generally got to know me as a person to make sure I was a good fit. My overall thoughts on the interview were good and I was excited to learn more about the company and continue to the next round. The same evening I received a practical project for a flyer and web display ad. They asked that I complete the project over the weekend and to spend no more than an hour or so on the project.
Two days later, I was asked to come into the office for an in person panel interview with the director, HR manager, and hiring manager. Again the questions were focused on getting to know my previous experience as well as my skillsets, with more detail. I was given time to ask some additional questions to get to know the team and also know more about the position.
Upon receiving my offer, they gave me plenty of time to review and were very fast to respond, typically within 2-3 hours. Which I would expect from a company this size and hiring for multiple positions. During negotiations, they met my counter, explained their review and compensation processes, and even offered to allow PTO for my previously planned vacation instead of unpaid.

Interview
A three part process. Google Hangouts (video conference) interview, Practical Assessment and In Person Panel Interview.
I was invited to the final interview after my 5 design samples were reviewed, and I assumed deemed good.
Then I received a generic "Thanks for your time" decline email two days after the interview essentially stating that I did not have the skills they were looking for. I should have been told that after the practical portion and saved myself and the 4 member panel team's time.

Question 1
What are your top 3 accomplishments in life, personal or professional?
We apologize if our communication/message was not received as intended. If we ask a candidate to have a final on-site interview then we do think they have the skills we are looking for and the practical projects are a tool that we use to confirm that. We value and respect our candidates’ time and effort – in fact, respect is one of our Core Values.
