      Live Chat Agent Interview

      23 Jul 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Spring Hill, FL
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Chat Shop (Spring Hill, FL) in Jun 2018

      Interview

The interview was pretty intense because I knew what to expect and what they were looking for. The first interview was online with a chat agent, they are strict about quick respond time and grammar. I passed the first interview and the second interview was through chat as well where I had a knowledge base to review the day before the interview started. I think this interview was more tricky because I was tricked up by the email document and thought it was only information but that document has more pages attached that are used to answer questions. If you are not prepared before hand you will have to stop and think to answer and this interview grades on speed and grammar. I took too long finding one answer in the knowledge base and that could have been the reason I wasn't accepted but I'm excited to try again after my waiting period is up. The interview was calm and nice, not pushy or rude like some of the reviews I read on here. I was super nervous but it was over pretty quickly, about 30-45 mins.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Chat Shop (Houston, TX) in Jun 2022

      Interview

The conductor of the interview did a fantastic job outlining what to expect out of this particular role. It was very semi-casual but very thorough which is very much appreciated. The first part before the interview consisted of a short mock chat session to determine if you were a good fit. I wouldn't say that it was difficult at all.

Why do you think that you're a good fit for this position? Tell me a little bit about yourself. General/basic interview questions.

The interview process was relaxed and informal, but challenging enough to give you a sense of accomplishment if you pass. Very pleasant people that make the application and interview process thoroughly enjoyable. 2 stages (phone call and live chat).

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Chat Shop (London, England) in Mar 2020

      Interview

I applied online, and it took maybe a month, give or take, to heart back. First scheduled was a chat interview, on which I was to role-play and sell a service to a the interviewer. Second, about a week or two later, was a phone interview, just to check in on how I felt about the process and the specifics of the position. A day or so after that, I was offered the position. I spoke with the same interviewer for both portions, and the process was very low-stress and casual.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Sell a service to the interviewer. A small packet of details regarding what I was to "sell" was provided prior to the interview.
