I applied online. I interviewed at The Children's Society
Interview
I accepted an automated invite to choose a slot.
The day before the interview I was told I would be sent a task 1 hour before the interview start time - so if offered an interview it may be worth clarifying around task timings to ensure you keep your calendar free outside the timeslot of the interview itself. Some more clarity and warning around this would have been appreciated.
The interview itself was very standard with around 10 competency based questions.
I didn't receive an offer and received a couple of sentences of feedback, feedback has definitely been more thorough from other charities which has been appreciated.
Overall the process felt quite distanced with lots of automated contact.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Children's Society in Jan 2026
Interview
I had two stages with the same panel, entire process lasted 2 months. Good questions but told other candidate had more experience even though all my experience was already communicated through my CV, pay is very very low for London so didn't mind too much.

Interview
It s a standard interview format, a task at the beginning followed by some 10 questions. I did feel a little intimidated but maybe that’s just me. They made me feel quite comfortable at the beginning, but during the interview, I felt a little judged and that’s where I lost some confidence.
