The job market in recent months has been quite turbulent, and communication from recruiters alongside interview processes has been extremely slow. However the experience I had for my interview process at The Electric Car Scheme was the complete opposite - it was smooth with clear communication from each person involved for each stage of the interview process. As such, it gave me a positive impression about the company from the get-go.
My first stage was a video call with Jess, who provided me with a clear background to the role, team and company. She also outlined proceeding stages as part of the interview process. I was then successful to progress to the second round, which was pencilled in for 2 days later, to meet with the Marketing Director.
My interview with the Marketing Director was via a video call, and this allowed me to ask more specific questions about the role, team and company, and allowed us both to understand if I would be a good fit. It was a great conversation and I was pleased to be invited back for a final stage interview at ECS HQ.
My final stage involved presenting back a case study to the Marketing Director and CEO. Whilst my case study allowed me to present back my knowledge and skillset in context for the role I was applying for, this stage of the interview was very open and allowed me to ask further questions and fill any gaps of knowledge.
A nice way to end the interview was a tour of the office, and a chance to meet other senior management. Overall, everyone I met was super friendly, and the vibe in the office was generally really welcoming and nice, which again added to creating a positive impression for me.
