      Program Assistant Interview

      14 Jun 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Lacey, WA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Emily Program (Lacey, WA) in May 2019

      Interview

Overall the process took about a month. I was emailed about a phone interview after two days of submitting my application. This interview took about 20 minutes, was relaxed/straight forward, and at the end of the phone interview I was set up with an onsite interview with the program director. The interview with the program director took about 30 minutes and was absolutely lovely. About a week later I received an email from the HR office letting me know that there would be a meeting for the final decision and I would know shortly after that. I didn't hear back the day of the meeting, but in the evening the next day I was asked to come in for one more interview. This interview was a lunch, panel interview with the program director, program coordinator, and registered dietitian. I got a short tour of the facility after lunch and the program director told me that HR will be in touch. Two days later I got a phone call offering me the position.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Emily Program

      Interview

My first interview consisted of a phone interview with a recruiter. She was very nice, however she tried to have me interview for an adolescent residential position that I did not apply for. I have zero experience with adolescents (which I told her), but said I would be open to meeting with someone who worked in the program to hear more about what it was like. The next part of the phone interview was when she told me about the starting salary. The amount is insulting to someone who has their masters, and is the lowest offer I have received thus far as a new grad when I've been applying to jobs. She said she would check to see if the amount could be raised, and would get back to me. I was offered a second interview with someone who works in the program, and that seemed to go well. I never heard another thing from the recruiter, not even a rejection email.
