I attended the Open day in Rome on the 21st of April, it was a very very long day I arrived at 8.30 (start time 9.00) and had my short interview at 14.00, so be prepared. We were about 600 people I think. At the start time a recruiter came out of this room where the selection took part and she informed us that they want us to have the photo & CV out of any plastic or everything that cover them, also only succesful candidates to the interview would receive an e-mail during the day. I received my mail around 18 they told us the place and time. The next day we were 170, we entered the room and took a sticker with our names and a number the two recruiters already prepared for us after that there was a presentation of the company, life in Dubai, benefits, salary and all the package. Activities started around 11 am and they divided us in groups. The first activity was in couples and to find a creative use for a given object in one profession 5 min to discuss with the partner, we had towel - farmer (i.e. graphic designer, gardener, photographer, doctor, jeweller for objects: baloons, iron wire, umbrella, bucket) after every group they put a list of people that passed to next step. Unfortunatelly I didn't pass but was a very positive experience, I knew a lot of people and different stories. I will try again after 6 months. Good luck everyone!!

They hold big interview days; which start with a presentation about Emirates and the job role, then they go through the entry requirements which is usually followed by a break where people usually leave if they don't fit. We are given numbered name label stickers when we come back and have to stand up to introduce ourselves as well as giving an answer on a question (which on my interview day was 'Which celebrity would you most like to see/serve on a flight?'). After everyone has stood up and introduced themselves, we go to break again, after which the interview day leader calls out the numbers of those continuing with the process (because some people are cut and sent home). There is then a group task which you are given to solve, and then give a group presentation about - followed by another break, after which more people are cut again. Then whoever is left at this stage has to be weighed and measured (height), as well as complete an english literacy test, to make further cuts before the actual interview stage. Then if you make it to the end, you have a twenty minute in-person/online interview (I think its meant to be in person but my interviewer had to leave early, so she handed over half to be completed by a colleague in Dubai over videocall). The interview is standard about 20 minutes and quite friendly
