I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Emirates Group (Istanbul) in Mar 2019
Interview
About 300 people joined to the interview in Istanbul/Turkey.
First Step : We dropped our CV to the recruiter's desk and took a number. After all CVs are collected, elimination started and 94 out of 300 selected for the next step. I really don't know how they checked whole CVs in a short time.
Tip: We never know what qualification they are looking for at the first step. Just be yourself and polite.
Second Step : We were divided to 2 groups as 50 and 44. Theses divided groups were divided as well. At the each group, we became a team with 4 ppl. They gave us a picture to examine and answer the 4 questions at the back. You need to work there as a team. If you don't do that, there is no way to be selected for the next step. Every person in the group should talk about the picture. (On the our picture, there were 3 guys discussing in front of a laptop. Recruiter ask for the flight attendant's reponsability in this case.)
39 out of 94 ppl selected on this step.
Tip: Prepare your phrase till your turn. Strange thoughts that compatible with the team's idea, would be very impressive.
Third Step : 3 groups created by 39 ppl. My team was about 15 ppl, recruiters gave each of us a card to read loudly. At this card, there was a situation to discuss with your teammates to solve the problem. ( There are 6 passenger and 1 Wine. Which passenger do you want to give the last wine and why? )
15 out of 39 selected on this step.
I was eliminated on the last steap
Tip The point is being a team. Just be explanatory and focus on solving problems with your teammate.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Emirates Group (Dubai)
Interview
They hold big interview days; which start with a presentation about Emirates and the job role, then they go through the entry requirements which is usually followed by a break where people usually leave if they don't fit. We are given numbered name label stickers when we come back and have to stand up to introduce ourselves as well as giving an answer on a question (which on my interview day was 'Which celebrity would you most like to see/serve on a flight?'). After everyone has stood up and introduced themselves, we go to break again, after which the interview day leader calls out the numbers of those continuing with the process (because some people are cut and sent home). There is then a group task which you are given to solve, and then give a group presentation about - followed by another break, after which more people are cut again. Then whoever is left at this stage has to be weighed and measured (height), as well as complete an english literacy test, to make further cuts before the actual interview stage. Then if you make it to the end, you have a twenty minute in-person/online interview (I think its meant to be in person but my interviewer had to leave early, so she handed over half to be completed by a colleague in Dubai over videocall). The interview is standard about 20 minutes and quite friendly
