Interview
Shortly after submitting a resume I received an email and text by the Owner requesting an interview. Once I got there I was escorted to a room to fill out paperwork. When done I waited as the director and Owner discussed who would interview me. If the director felt it was worth owners time to speak to me then she’d let him know. She didn’t seem to be interested in much of what i said. I feel after over hearing the who’s going to take this interview conversation it would have been better to leave and to not waste my time any further.

Was not asked much else and didn’t feel the director was that interested in moving forward. I feel the overheard conversation confirmed to me that this was not a place that I’d work well in and the Owners were interviewing all applicants not taking notice in much of anyone’s background. Based on what I know of their Curriculum Frog Street it seems more teacher guided with little room for the teacher to freely plan and as an educator I’d would have felt restricted in how I could teach the best way I feel children learn.
I got asked a variety of situational questions and about my experience before being given a tour of the facilities. It was very standard and I felt comfortable talking about everything, I got a few details about benefits and perks.

It was about an hour with a lot of in depth questions that you have to kind of be prepared for. Also I didn’t originally interview for lead teacher but they offered me that job title which is a step down from what I was interviewing for.
