I applied online. I interviewed at The HEINEKEN Company (Kraków) in May 2019
Interview
The first stage of the interview looked OK: phone conversation with HR person and an invitation to the online tests (took 30 min: analytical skills & P&L knowledge)
Later I was invited to the office to have an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager was a lady from Russia with intermediate English language skills, who immediately started the conversation by saying that today she is not in the mood to run the interview and that it would be better if I asked the questions that interested me and she would simply answer them (yeah, I am not exaggerating). After 10-15 min of this weird interview she interrupts me by saying she does not understand why I came here, since the experience on my CV is more "P&L related" and she is looking for someone with more of "Balance Sheet experience". My question why they invited me there if they saw my CV beforehand was left unanswered.
Then I had another Excel test (you need to refresh you vlookups & pivot knowledge; also need to know Excel shortcuts). Honestly, I did not really apply myself since I already made my decision about that company.
They did not even bother to call me afterwards.
To sum up: When you spend your time for the tests, interview; take a day off your job and they meet you in the office with "why-would-you-even-bother-to-come" attitude, it is simply unprofessional and disrespectful. With this kind of approach to your staff you will not be able to build a successful business.
Interview was very smooth, clear and not stressful.
Everything was online usuing Microsoft Teams.
I received all needed information. I really recommend to take part in the interview. I would recommend to learn the basis of accounting.
