I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Home Depot in Feb 2013
Interview
I applied online, and some time later I received a phone call from Home Depot. I had a phone screening where he asked me about availability and asked me some "What would you do in this situation" questions. After he reviewed my answers, if offered me a job interview for the next week.
At the job interview on Thursday, she went over my application - availability, job history, etc. Then she asked me some straightforward, easy scenario questions. After, she said she'd be in contact the next week if I'm chosen for a second interview with the manager.
She said the manager pretty much goes off her recommendations and chooses who he wants to interview, so make sure to make a good first impression with the first interviewer. At the end, she said she will recommend me to the store manager.
Two days later, Saturday, I got a phone call to come in for a second interview with the store manager. Next week, Friday, I went to my interview. He didn't ask any scenario questions; all he did was go over my job history and availability. He then offered me 8.25 and sent me to the first interviewer to finish up the process.
Other Cashier interview reviews for The Home Depot
just a conversation with the HR team, asked the basic questions and nothing to stressful. they made the process very easy and the interview was actually truely with only one single person
5 minutes not even an interview just acceptance. I walked in and they said when can you start and if I can submit to a drug test and background check I said yes and left.
I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Corvallis, OR)
Interview
The interview process was a friendly and professional experience overall. The managers are nice and accommodating to students at least at this location as I was a current student at Oregon state university and needed to work around a college schedule.
