I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The Home Depot in May 2010
Interview
At the time of the interview I just turned 18 and I have never been previously employed. I didn't think that Home Depot would hire me but I applied online and about a week later they contacted me via phone. They gave me a quick phone interview where typed everything I said. I was not prepared whatsoever for the phone interview but the questions were fairly simple and I did OK. After the phone interview another Home Depot contacted me literally 5 minutes later. He basically wanted to confirm my interest for Home Depot and he we set up a one on one interview to take place a few days later. I aced the interview because the interviewer, who seemed pretty strict, asked the same questions that the lady asked on the phone. I initially ended up getting min wage but pay increased a couple bucks/hr a few months later.

I applied online. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Corvallis, OR)
Interview
The interview process was a friendly and professional experience overall. The managers are nice and accommodating to students at least at this location as I was a current student at Oregon state university and needed to work around a college schedule.
