      Brand Manager Interview

      11 Sept 2020
      Anonymous employee
      Addison, TX
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at The LOOMIS Agency (Addison, TX)

      Interview

Before I could interview, I was asked to complete a screening document. The packet was several pages long and asked for details going back to college (which was many years ago for me. I was asked to provide details about every job I’d held. It was very comprehensive and took several hours to complete. I was also asked to take two assessment tests by computer. These revealed insights about my personality and work style, to ensure that I would mesh with the team. After reviewing my tests and written submission, I was invited to interview with my potential direct report and the head of Client Service. A few days later, I was asked to come back and meet the team I would potentially work with. I thought I would meet with them one-on-one but I was interviewed by the entire team (12-15 people) at once. It went well but other candidates might be intimidated. Finally, I was asked to come back and meet with the CEO. This was a confusing meeting because he talked the whole time, leaving no room for me to interject or impress him. We (he) talked for at least 30 minutes while I wondered if the job was mine.

That is a frustrating experience and we apologize for it. The extensive background work has long been an important part of our interview process. The team interview isn't a practice we support, so I appreciate the feedback. As the CEO, I also appreciate the feedback on my own poor contribution to your experience. Sometimes, I let my "recruitment enthusiasm" get ahead of me when I'm speaking with candidates I'm excited about. It's a good reminder to listen more and speak less. Thank you!

      Brand Manager Interview

      10 Mar 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The LOOMIS Agency

      Interview

After several rounds of email questions I was sent a huge assignment to work on that required work details from the start of ones career. It had several questions and you had to answer it for every job you have done since the beginning. It took me hours and hours to the point that I was sick of doing it and just wanted to get done, and send it away. Their response - None. Nada. Zilch. A basic courtesy email; “we received your docket, it was horrible so we won’t move forward.” How many seconds of their valuable time would that take to send back to the candidate who spent several hours to answer your irrelevant, nonsensical essay format questions? In my job search I was ghosted by a couple of recruiters but that’s understandable, people do tend to get busy. But these guys WASTED several hours and didn’t have the decency to even reply back a receipt. I’m so glad I didn’t join this place, speaks volumes about the people, and their culture.
