MTC positions itself as a modern organisation bridging academia, manufacturing and innovation, but the recruitment experience felt surprisingly outdated.
The interviewers themselves were professional, however parts of the interview process felt unfocused and lacked structure. Time allocated for candidate questions often drifted into broader discussion without clearly addressing the questions being asked, which made the process feel disjointed.
The process afterwards lacked transparency and follow-through. Salary expectations discussed during recruitment did not align with the salary range initially advertised or referenced earlier in the process, which created confusion late into the hiring journey.
In addition, follow-up conversations that were explicitly agreed during interview never materialised, and communication after the interview eventually stopped altogether without any clear closure or update.
For an organisation focused on collaboration, delivery and professional standards, I expected a more structured and respectful candidate experience.
