      Software Engineering Intern Interview

      23 Mar 2026
      Anonymous employee
      Bengaluru
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Trade Desk (Bengaluru) in Sept 2025

      Interview

The process included an online assessment, then an HR round, then a screening coding round of 30 minutes, and a super day, which had back-to-back 1 hour interviews. It was very smooth and the HR constantly updated candidates about their status. There was clear communication.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Trade Desk in Apr 2026

      Interview

CodeSignal OA (Proctored, two easy-med LC problems) -> Brief Behavioral (Simple discussion with recruiter, was told i was moving to next round during the call) -> Technical first round (Writing a very simple class while talking to an interviewer) -> Technical Superday (2 med-hard LC problems. Each have 3 parts that build on eachother. two 60 minute interviews back to back with ~15 min break inbetween). Both technicals were on CodeSignal. All questions I were asked had to do with strings/arrays for the most part. After the Final Round, they ghosted me and I never heard back.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at The Trade Desk in Jan 2022

      Interview

The recruiting process was good until the final onsite interview. HR was extremely reliable and followed through the entire way. The same can't be said about the actual interview... Interviewers were unprofessional and didn't introduce themselves. Was told to prepare for a systems design interview and instead, they asked me some unclear library-based question which no-one could prepare for. Clarifying questions that I asked were not replied to or were done so in a way that left me even more confused. Total waste of time - would've declined the offer even if it was made. I haven't experienced too many technical interviews but this took the cake for the worst.
