I was hired to go in as a consultant from a former Supervisor to conduct an internal audit of their financial systems and proocesses. Upon submitting my final report, I was asked to meet the Treasurer and Chair of the Board to discussion the outcome of the audit. I was later asked to meet with the Finance Committe before my departure, where an offer was made. I initially respectfully declined when considering the move that was involved from Florida to Washington, DC. After further negotiations and telephone conversations ( 3 months), I accepted the position.
