It was a panel interview. I think there was only one interview. They asked questions and I was able to get a good understanding of the role and what the job could entail.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Claryville, NY) in Mar 2012
Interview
After receiving my resume and cover letter, they spoke with me on the phone and told me what the schedule and duties would be like. They sometimes like to throw in creative questions just to see what you will say on the spur of the moment. They ask if you have experience working with youth, babysitting, etc.

Question 1
If you were stranded on a desert island with (three random objects), how would you use them to survive?
Got asked about what 3 items I would take with me on an abandoned island, other than that they asked really long questions about company values and situations where I demonstrated that.
Very easy! You will meet with the leaders of the camp to go over your qualifications and expectations. You will talk about schedules for the summer as well! Be prepared to talk about your experience with kids
