I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA)
Interview
very friendly and basic interview - just be yourself and positive / friendly. It helps if you like to work out or if you have volunteered at the YMCA before. They like people of all ages and level of experience. they try to work with your schedule and understand that you may have a permanent job already.
Positive experience
Easy interview
Application
I applied online. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Providence, RI)
Interview
The employer reviewed my resume, asked me questions about my job experience-- was I comfortable answering phone calls, juggling multiple things at once, etc? And how would I handle a difficult or dissatisfied customer?
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How would you handle a difficult/dissatisfied customer or community member?
Casual. Friendly. Asked about availability and why I wanted to work there. Probably depends a lot on the manager and the position. Come prepared and know the mission of the Y
The people were very chill about the interview and the atmosphere. Asked basic question you would expect on past experience. Lasted 30 minutes max. Ended up with the job after interviewing here.
