I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Victoria, BC) in Mar 2018
Interview
The interview was great and the management who interviewed me was extremely kind. I got an email first asking me what day I would be available to come in for a dry interview. After the dry phase, you move on to the wet screening. The wet screening consisted of some physical standards, a peer teaching portion, and three guarding scenerios. After that I declined my offer hower they would require you to get a police information check if you make it past the two phases.
Smooth and welcoming. The interaction was positive and conversation flowed nicely throughout. I felt like my answers were being listened to, and that the interviewers were very engaged with me and what I had to say.

The interview process was overall easy. You just need to have your certifications, you need to pass a breathing test, and you need to pass a swim test. Pretty easy interview.
