I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Malden, MA) in Mar 2015
Interview
Two person interviews, one with Membership Director and the other with Executive Director, due to East Coast snow storms the process took roughly 3 months. The general vibe was that they needed someone quick. I was the final 2 candidates and the other candidate has much more experience than me. This was based on the conversation we had at the second interview with both Membership Director and the Executive Director. They both seems nice but the entire interview felt like they just wanted someone to take the position so they can use them as a shield for anything that may go wrong with the new policies. It was a little odd when they kept asking me when I would be available.

I applied online. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Austin, TX)
Interview
Asked 12-15 situational questions to ascertain how you work with teams and how you would handle the stress of the role. It was a panel style interview and all took place online. Very thorough and somewhat nerve racking as they read through the questions very fast.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Fairfield, CT) in Aug 2022
Interview
It was great and everyone was friendly and helpful. Would 100% recommend working at the y. You can tell they care about their team members and everyone who walks through the door.

Question 1
When was a time you've worked on a project with limited resources
Very positive. The interviewer was prepared and engaged in the process. I felt heard and appreciated. I did not take the position because of the day to day responsibilities relative to the pay. I think other ls may enjoy working there.
