Easy, asks relevant questions. Casual, you should know the job and be ready to show up early and take it seriously. You’ll be the best at the job if you just do that.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Markham, ON) in Sept 2015
Interview
Already volunteered within the organization. There are two interviews, a land interview and a wet interview. During the first interview in a board room two senior staff asked me different questions regarding situationals and basic competence. I got an email the next day about an interview the week after. In the wet interview, I was asked to teach a class for five minutes and demonstrate basic lifeguarding skills (especially the physical tests)
