I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Y (YMCA) (Providence, RI) in Mar 2012
Interview
The interview was pretty relaxed I met with the director of that particular branch as well as the director of fitness. Being a frequent visitor to that particular branch gave me an advantage of face recognition. Overall the interview experience was clam, not too dramatic they just wanted to understand your level of health and fitness and what you could bring to that particular branch.
