      Program Manager Interview

      27 Mar 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Santa Clara, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TiVo (Santa Clara, CA) in May 2011

      Interview

I thought the interview went well. There were about 6 people interviewed back to back. After the interview, they never contacted me, even though I asked for an update a couple of times. After that I gave up. Companies don't realize that a lot of effort goes into preparing for interview and during the interview. They should have the courtesy to provide a yes/no answer.

      Interview

My interviews at Rovi were comprehensive, fair, and interesting. I met some seasoned leaders, who definitely know their product and processes. I met with about 12 people, some in pairs, and recommend those interviewing push for the same, because these meetings were very informative.

      Program Manager Interview

      22 Oct 2009
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Alviso, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TiVo (Alviso, CA) in Sept 2009

      Interview

I was asked to participate in 5 separate interview sessions (including 1 phone screen, 3 interviews with individuals (including 1 panel session) and 1 additonal phone interview) Perception of what they wanted: someone with very strong presence. Had a bit of a struggle to convince them that there are many ways to "influence" people/teams that being an ominous precense (I was soft spoken and short in stature) Please note that the application form requires names of references, even before any interviews start.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I was given a 'test' by one of the interviewers: They asked how many public phones are available in a certain city?
