I applied online. I interviewed at Tinder in Mar 2026
Interview
1 OA, HR Screen, 1hr technical, then supposed hiring manager round. Technical was a live coding question that was similar to a leetcode object oriented design question with a hashing algorithm.
The recruiters are very helpful at the start of the recruitment process, however, as your progress the become less and less communicative. I’ve been ghosted by the recruiter inspite of following up multiple times. If you want to reject a candidate just do it, or at least reply to them saying they have been rejected, what is even the point of ghosting someone who is genuinely following up.
Very disorganized. First round recruiter screen was no video over zoom. I thought I was ghosted after this but was then informed the recruiter was no longer with the company and I got invited to the next round. The hiring manager round went well and I was invited to a final round pair programming round with a staff engineer where you make a simple app with a provided API client. AI was allowed and a lot of prep was provided for the technical. I thought it went well and the interviewer told me I’d hear back in a day or two. I’ve since been ghosted by the recruiter.
