This company's "coding challenge" is very vague and also literally does not run on Windows. There are some serious bugs in the database migration and setup scripts they have provided that make the coding challenge impossible to even start. I reached out about this, and their advice literally was:
1. Buy a Mac
2. Install a whole new Linux system, because the developers don't know how to write code that can run on Windows
3. Quit the interview process.
I wish I'm making this up, but I'm literally not! This actually happened to me. Never before have I interviewed at a company whose coding challenge not only did not run, but also was impossible to get to a state where it would run, unless I spent $1000 dollars or a whole day of my time just dedicated to setting up a completely new work environment that I was to use for 3 hours and then never touch again.
I would beware of this company.

Interview
Take home assessment with vague requirements. Given a Next.js app and was told to spend no more than 3 hours with a highlight to "cut scope" in order to stay within 3 hour limit. Rejected with no feedback after the take home assessment.

Interview
Starts off good but the take-home assignment has vague requirements. They ask for you to scope down and to stay within a 2 hour limit. You are suppose to know what to scope down without any guidance. If I had to do it again, I'd treat them like a stakeholder and ask them to rank the task based on priorities and to provide a list of must-have's vs nice-to-haves.
