I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Dublin, Dublin) in Jul 2021
Interview
Initial call, then a second round with a technical interview that was a screen share on hackerrank.
I found it not no so hard, but perhaps I was not prepared enough and then I haven't succeeded.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Create a method that would return the maximum profit for the day given certain conditions such like only buy and sell once, the difference between buy and sell time must be at least five seconds long. The difference in time between each stock price is 1 second long, stock prices are already in order by time, if there is not profit for the day, return 0.
3 technical rounds of easy/medium LC questions and 1 system design round. Pretty average interview experience for a non-big tech company (expect to write all your own test cases + heavy AI usage from interviewers setting up questions and testing edge cases).
Leetcode style 1 hr technical along with 1 hr behavioral with pretty standard questions. Interviewers were both really nice and hardest part of technical were the follow-up questions but the interviewer was very helpful.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Toast Inc (Dublin, Dublin) in Apr 2026
Interview
I scheduled a first round technical interview. Recruiter emailed 2 days later saying position filled. Very disappointing. Phone screen was good descriptive and helpful. Shoukd of flagged rolling hiring. Was for junior engineer role.
