      C++ Algorithm Engineer Interview

      4 Jul 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

      I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TomTom in Jun 2016

      Interview

      1 codility test on C (three assignments to be completed in 100 minutes), 1 Skype interview of one hour with two engineers coding in google docs for the definition of a class to efficiently store strings. Didn't get past the Skype interview as they were looking for a candidate with a Java/C++ background while I was mainly from an embedded algorithm development (and this was clear from my CV). Overall a pleasant experience, they came back quickly with an explanation why I didn't get past the Skype interview.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

      Binary trees, Algorithm debugging, Class definition for efficient storage of strings
