      Marketing Copywriter Interview

      23 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Minneapolis, MN
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at TopRank Marketing (Minneapolis, MN) in Oct 2025

      Interview

Recruiter strings you along stating how great of a fit you are, how uncompetitive the position is, and how excited they are to meet you, and to expect next steps in a couple of days. Then they instead send you a rejection email out of the blue. Great process, super two-way street to get to know each other. That's sarcasm, of course.

      Question 1

Can we keep your resume on file in case this doesn't work out?

We understand it’s disappointing when a hiring decision doesn’t go your way. This particular role received over 700 applications, which made the process highly competitive and occasionally lengthened our response times. We strive to communicate with every applicant as promptly and transparently as possible, and we appreciate your time and interest in the position. We also keep resumes on file for future opportunities—particularly for copywriting and content creation roles, which we frequently look to support.
