I had an initial screening call. The lady glanced at my resume and didn't see a job title with the word "software" so said I was "not really a developer". I disagreed with her and pointed out in my last 2 jobs I have been solely responsible for web application development. At one of those 2 jobs I wrote a production web app including ~30,000 lines of code and was asked to translate the app to French.
To that she said "I'm not going to argue with you, if you like I'll move you on to the next round".
TopTal claims to provide the "top 10% of developers". In reality anyone who argues/disagrees enough with the interviewer seems to make it through.
I declined further interviews as this is not an organization I would want to work with.
