They sent me an email asking when would I be available for a video call via Teams. During the video interview, they asked almost solely scenario questions (if this happens, what would you do). Two interviewers.

Question 1
Client coming in the front door, phone ringing, co-worker asking for an important document at the same time. What would you do?
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Toronto Humane Society (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2024
Interview
Interview process has two parts. The first was a pretty standard screening interview performed by the HR team. They were professional and friendly and the questions were to the point and relevant.
Once I moved on to being interviewed by the Hiring Manager, it was less so. There were 15 questions to get through in an interview scheduled for 60 minutes, most of them multi-part questions asking for examples.
Many of the questions were fine/directly related to the position, but some were not. For example, they asked if I would be willing to give two months notice if I ever wanted to leave the position, and for me to explain my management style and how I mentor staff (for a position that had zero direct reports).
Between the interview and being offered the position, management's approach to the role changed. The job description was the same, but the way it was being interpreted had shifted - for example, job area XYZ was highlighted as important during the interviews with specific resources committed by the organization, but in the job offer it was noted that the role would actually focus on ABC with different resources.

I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Toronto Humane Society
Interview
Excruciatingly long and difficult. Weeks turned into months - the time from first application to first contact was five months. From first contact to job offer was another three. Ridiculous.

They wanted to know my personal philosophy for working with animals.
