After applying, Toyo requires candidates to complete a battery of assessments, which include speed reading comprehension, speed facial emotion recognition, personality test, and a brief speed Excel test (this one was directly relevant to the role). The testing takes about an hour and while I did well on it, my opinion is that it is designed to eliminate otherwise very well qualified candidates who just don't test well, don't speed read well, have English as a second language, etc., and it's a reflection of the culture that they treat people like a machine with a failure point. Take from that what you will. The recruiter called me and wanted to set up the interview ASAP. Had a virtual interview with the hiring manager and a consultant that has been working with the company. They were nice but the hiring manager mentally checked out at the halfway point. I got a rejection notice a few days later.
