I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (Saint Louis, MO) in Sept 2015
Interview
The interview process overall took about a month to complete. I was first contacted by a HR member from Travelers' Headquarters, to setup a phone interview the next week. The phone interview was quick, only took about 20 minutes and was mainly to verify my background (resume) and to then forward my information over to the field office that I was applying for. I then received an email from the field office manager to setup an in-person interview. At this first in-person interview I met with three people in the department I would be working for, including the direct manager. This took about 3 hours and I was asked general interview questions about the position and my history. After this interview I was then contacted to complete one more in-person interview in the office again to meet with my potential manager's boss and to complete a case study. After speaking with the Regional VP and completing the case study I was contact the next week with an official job offering.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Every manager or department member is going to ask different questions, mostly about prior experience and what interests you about the position you are applying for. There was nothing out of the ordinary that threw me off (or anyone else I would think). I would look up general interview questions online and prepare this way.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Travelers (Saint Paul, MN) in Oct 2025
Interview
Phone screening scheduled within 2 weeks of applying. Basic work history and transferrable skills type questions to get a feel for fit for the position. Recruiter reached out a week and a half or so after that to set up an in-person interview with the would-be direct manager and the Managing Director. Some more employment history/background questions and then a series of STAR method questions.

I applied online. I interviewed at Travelers (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2021
Interview
Applied and recruiter called within the week. She basically wants to verify your background and get a feel of you.
2nd interview was with hiring manager over zoom, who was super nice. Interview lasted about an hour and talked about the position and wanted to know more about you. Make sure you know the LOB you're applying for and how you would quote certain risks.
3rd interview was with regional AVP also over zoom. Didn't feel like an interview at all and more to get to know you.
