I recently attended an interview for an internship position at Travelodge. The interview was conducted face to face at the hotel. I felt a bit nervous at first because it was my first formal interview in a hotel environment. However, the interviewer was friendly and professional. They introduced the company background and explained the role of the engineering department. I was asked to introduce myself and explain my educational background. I shared that I studied Building Surveying and have a strong interest in building maintenance. The interviewer asked about my understanding of hotel facilities and basic maintenance work. I explained that hotels require regular inspection to ensure safety and comfort for guests. They also asked about my internship expectations. I mentioned that I want to gain hands-on experience in real building operations. The interviewer asked how I handle teamwork and communication. I answered that I am willing to learn and take instructions seriously. They also asked about my ability to work under supervision. I explained that I am comfortable working with senior staff and learning from them. The interview session was well-organized and structured. I felt more confident as the interview progressed. The interviewer gave examples of daily tasks in the engineering department. This includes checking equipment, basic repairs, and reporting issues. I found the explanation very interesting and relevant to my field of study. They also emphasized discipline and punctuality in the workplace. I agreed that these qualities are important in the hotel industry. At the end of the interview, I was given the opportunity to ask questions. I asked about the learning opportunities during the internship period. The interviewer responded positively and clearly. Overall, the interview experience was very valuable for me. It helped me understand the real working environment in a hotel. I learned the importance of professionalism and communication. The interview motivated me to improve myself further. I hope to gain this internship opportunity at Travelodge.
