Triad Technology Group interview questions

Initially I received the email with hourly wage at $40/hr W2. Keep in mind this is Portland (cost of living). The recruiter seemed more concerned about making money, e.g. placing me at a higher hourly rate yet giving me a low rate. I then had a video interview (skype) with the recruiter; forms to fill out; then phone interview with the company (client). The recruiter of course really was not in the know how but rather looking for keywords. After the video interview, and reviewing the job description, I informed the recruiter that the $40/hr is a little low for what their client wanted. She then responded with "oh my mistake the job is for $45/hr". This seemed suspicious to me. After I did the interview with their client, I received a job offer in a couple of days. I then informed the recruiter that the $45/hr was still low. She then "reworked" the numbers and came back with $48.72/hr (I don't know how they got the 72¢ in there). The recruiters response to persuade me to take the job included that the humidity was low there. I also had a concern on the cost of living was high. The recruiter responded with moving an 1 hour south of Portland. She was clearly out of touch with my concerns and was more interested in making take the offer so she could get paid. Oh did I mention the recruiter seemed more concerned about making money rather then my concerns.
