The interview process for a Design Engineer role in September 2024 started with a psychometric test, followed by two separate rounds of interviews. To be honest, I really enjoyed the actual meetings, they felt like casual, genuine conversations with the team and senior managers rather than a interrogation.
However, the post-interview experience was disappointing. Despite knowing I had a two-hour commute each way, the team insisted on in-person interviews for both rounds. After I invested eight hours of travel time and showed up as requested, I was rejected without any feedback. When I reached out to ask for even a brief explanation, I was completely ghosted. It’s also worth noting that the pay they discussed was quite low. While the people seem great, the lack of professional courtesy regarding feedback, especially after requiring long distance travel, left a sour taste.
