Joined as an Intern in the DSAP program. There were 2 rounds of interview questions. One was full technical with basic concepts of Data Science, python and SQL. The other round was more of a behavioral round where they check to see if you are a good fit.

2 people interviewed me, one is data scientist and another is manager. Asked around my past experiences. nothing special. But challanged my major, asked me why should choose me instead of math and stats major students.

Q:why should we choose you instead of math and stats major students. what's your advantage
HR reached out to me and then I go through one round with hiring manager to have technical phone screen. The questions are straightforward. 2 days later, I got the offer call from HR.
My suitability for this position is unique. My creativity and art of finance data product design got managers’ recognition. Besides, financial industry has a complex data system and data infrastructure. It also requires a lot of specific domain knowledge to do daily responsibilities. It will takes more than one year to train a new employee to fill this role.
